Before joining Gharibian Law, APC, Alex worked as a senior attorney for a prominent civil litigation firm where he worked tirelessly on behalf of victims of elder abuse and neglect. Driven by his desire to defend one of the most vulnerable demographics in the United States.

Alex’s extensive knowledge of elder abuse and nursing home law has resulted in two significant appellate decisions on behalf of nursing home residents:

Daniels v. Sunrise Senior Living, Inc., (2013) 212 Cal.App.4th 674, where the court held that a non-signatory wrongful death plaintiff was not bound by an arbitration agreement between the decedent and Defendant facility, when the wrongful death Claim is brought against a residential health care facility, a non-licensed healthcare provider.

Holley v. Silverado Senior Living Mgmt., (2020) 53 Cal.App.5th 197, where the court held that temporary conservators cannot bind a conservatee to arbitration agreement absent consent or lack-of-capacity ruling.
